The Kindergarten Curriculum

The Kindergarten Curriculum is based on active learning.

The curriculum is designed to cater to both the key stakeholders in the classroom – the teacher and the student. The teacher becomes a facilitator for the student’s journey in exploring each new concept. And during the journey, the student is encouraged to collaborate with other students and together build new cognitive models of the concept being taught. Through practical activities ,play and talk, children develop an understanding of the world and the basic concepts which enable them to be learners for life.

Children in the Kindergarten spend time on: Circle Time, Show and Tell, Maths, Language, Understanding Our World, Dance, Music, Free Play, and Activity Room.

Primary School Curriculum

We strongly believe that experience and analysis based on interaction between the individuals and their environment can only lead to real learning. In order to provide this everlasting experience to our pupils, we make sure that they go through concrete experiences that help them to observe, reflect and analyze This helps them in their journey from the abstract to the concrete and apply the knowledge gained to real life situations.

In the primary school, a variety of approaches encourage children to feel, explore, create, think and solve problems.

Learning by Doing:

  • The curriculum lays strong emphasis on constructivist approach where the child is the architect of her/his own knowledge. In every subject area, there is a strong emphasis on equipment and materials which promotes spirit of self-investigation rather than simply being told by an adult.

  • We believe that storytelling, play, learning musical instruments, swimming, dance and drama are as important for learning as Science, Mathematics and Social Science. In the week’s timetable, therefore, each area finds a place for itself.

  • As a part of their social development, students will learn how to share and accept responsibilities such as cleaning up their area after eating, solving problems by working together. Here, the relevant competancies of the students are enhanced through the simple activities which are designed to support the children to be self-reliant.

Middle School Curriculum

The middle School curriculum follows the broad direction set by CBSE within the following key learning areas.

Helping students develop optimum competencies in all subjects, including areas such as English, Sciences,Mathematics and Social Science/Environmental Science.

  • Strengthening creative and expressive skills through its Art, Music and public speaking programme.

  • Using technology under ICT to support and broaden learning.

  • Equipping learners with the personal, learning and thinking skills to succeed in higher education and life through life skills and work education.

  • Encouraging life long culture of fitness through Physical education.
